Getting Married - What happens next
I am an accredited Celebrant with the Irish Institute of Celebrants and am totally independent of any religious organisation. For all couples no matter where they are getting married in Ireland they must make an appointment with the registrar at their local Health Service Executive Registrations Office where they must declare their intention to marry. There is a charge of €200 for this payable to the HSE. The paperwork for their legal signing will then be commenced. The next phase, if a couple choose to use an independent celebrant like myself they can return to their registrar for a second appointment 3-6 months after the initial one and sign the register there with two witnesses present. This takes appropriately 5 to 10 minutes and carries no extra charge.
When the above step with the HSE is complete I can then perform your wedding ceremony at a location and at any time that suits you either before or after the second appointment with the HSE registrar.
My ceremonies are completely bespoke and can incorporate whatever your heart desires from entering the room to your favorite love song, a reading that has a heart felt meaning to you or what ever else you would like to have included.
I am an organised and flexible person. I can adapt to any situation and always strive to do the best job possible. Listening and gaining an understanding of what you are maybe trying to achieve- but cannot quite get there on your own- and translating your ideas into a bespoke ceremony are qualities I can offer. If you know exactly what you want or not sure where to start I will be there to support and guide you. Please get in touch and I will be happy to help.

My Wedding Ceremony services include:
An initial, obligation-free meeting/Skype/phone conversation to listen to your ideas and discuss how we can design a meaningful and unique ceremony together. During this meeting we will discuss the process of writing your ceremony and the legal requirements for your marriage. Should you wish to proceed, I would ask that you complete a booking form, and pay a booking fee to secure my services.
A second meeting, to discuss the first draft of your ceremony. I provide an information pack which will outline the full process and also my resource library (poems and readings, sample vows, rituals & Ceremony enhancement ideas). Shortly after the second meeting I will email you the first draft of your ceremony. We can correspond as often as you like via email or telephone - the choice is yours.
Inclusion of up to three Ceremony enhancements.
A professionally printed marriage or handfasting certificate
A bound copy of your wedding ceremony.
